A Georgia woman in her 60s was kidnapped, burned, and cut by an assailant as she was leaving work at an accounting firm in Tucker, according to her family. The horrifying incident took place on Wednesday evening, shortly after the firm closed for the day.
The victim’s family recounted the terrifying ordeal to DeKalb County Police, stating that a man approached the woman as she was leaving work and demanded entry into the business. When she refused, the man forced her into her vehicle, made her drive to an ATM, and instructed her to withdraw money.
During the harrowing ordeal, the assailant cut the woman across her body, including her face, and at some point, he burned her face. He then forced her to drive back to her workplace, where she managed to escape and drive to a nearby fire station for help.
Upon arriving at DeKalb County Fire Station 22, the woman caught the attention of the crew members, who immediately contacted the police. The victim was swiftly taken to the hospital for treatment, where she has undergone at least one surgery since the attack.
Authorities are actively working to identify and locate the suspect responsible for this heinous crime. The victim’s family is seeking justice for their loved one and hoping for a swift resolution to this traumatic event.
