The Milwaukee community was shocked by the recent arrest of a 19-year-old man, Steven Nichols, who is facing charges of child abuse and neglect after his baby was found with severe injuries. According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the child’s mother discovered the injuries on March 11 after leaving the baby with Nichols for the weekend.

When the baby was returned home, the mother noticed that he was “fussy,” constipated, and had trouble sleeping. Upon further inspection, she found bruises on the child and questioned Nichols, who claimed that an iPad had accidentally hit the baby. However, hospital staff determined that the baby had suffered bilateral skull fractures, a significant brain injury, femur fractures, rib fractures, buttocks burns, and spinal bleeding, among other injuries.

Medical professionals concluded that an iPad could not have caused all of these injuries, leading to the child abuse allegations against Nichols. Despite denying the accusations, Nichols allegedly admitted to police that it “wasn’t unfair” to say that he hurt his child.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is actively investigating the case, and the community is left reeling from the disturbing allegations. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
