While the Ludlow suit remains a favorite among men, the survey also revealed other noteworthy off-the-rack options. Suits from Sid Mashburn and SuitSupply were mentioned multiple times, with SuitSupply’s Havana suit and Sid Mashburn’s Kincaid No. 3 Suit receiving praise for their fit, style, and customization options.
For those seeking alternatives to the slim Ludlow style, J. Crew’s Kenmare and Crosby suits offer a more relaxed and classic fit, catering to different preferences and body types. Additionally, Todd Snyder’s suits, known for their quality fabrics and modern aesthetic, were favored by respondents in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.
Younger respondents in their 20s and early 30s showed a preference for double-breasted jackets, with brands like Stoffa gaining popularity for their unique and modern designs. The survey also highlighted other brands like Men’s Wearhouse, Tom Ford, and Selected for their double-breasted suit options.
In addition to these brands, the survey mentioned several other labels to keep in mind when shopping for suits, including Paul Stuart, Express, Ring Jacket, and Maison Margiela, among others.
