First Amendment attorney Stephen Stubbs is speaking out about his encounter with a Biden campaign staffer at a recent event in Las Vegas. Stubbs, who was invited to attend a campaign event featuring Vice President Kamala Harris, shared his experience with Fox News Digital.
According to Stubbs, he was approached by a New York Times reporter for an interview at the event. However, a Biden staffer, identified as Clio Calvo-Platero, tried to shut down the interview when Stubbs began questioning Biden’s performance at the recent CNN Presidential Debate.
Stubbs expressed his concerns about Biden’s mental acuity and suggested that Harris should take over the rest of his term. Calvo-Platero attempted to stop the interview, but the New York Times reporter continued despite her objections.
The incident highlights the tension within the Democratic Party regarding criticism of President Biden. Stubbs, a registered Democrat, described the encounter as “chilling” and emphasized the importance of open dialogue and transparency in politics.
As an undecided voter heading into November, Stubbs expressed his concerns about both Biden and Trump. He emphasized the need for clarity on who is truly running the country and called for more transparency from the Biden administration.
The White House has attributed Biden’s poor debate performance to a cold and jetlag, but Stubbs remains skeptical about his ability to fulfill his duties as president. The incident underscores the ongoing debate within the Democratic Party about Biden’s leadership and the future of the administration.
