Former President Trump’s speech at the 2024 Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee, was briefly delayed over the weekend due to a security concern involving two attendees who did not follow proper entry protocols. This incident comes just two weeks after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
According to reports, Secret Service agents had Trump wait before taking the stage as the two individuals were located and removed from the venue. Despite the delay, a Secret Service spokesperson confirmed that there was never a threat to the former president.
The two individuals were questioned by law enforcement but were not charged in connection with the incident. It remains unclear how they were able to bypass the screening process.
This incident adds to the scrutiny the Secret Service has faced following the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, where a gunman opened fire at a rally, resulting in one death and injuries to several attendees, including Trump himself. The former Secret Service director has since resigned over the security lapses.
As investigations continue into both incidents, the safety and security of public figures remain a top priority for law enforcement agencies.
