Thousands of music fans have descended upon Glasgow Green for Scotland’s biggest music festival, TRNSMT. With around 50,000 people expected to attend each day, the event kicked off with warm and sunny weather, setting the stage for an exciting weekend of music.
Headlined by Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, and Calvin Harris, the festival boasts a lineup that includes acts like Garbage, the Snuts, Sugababes, and Example across three stages. However, some fans may have to make a tough choice between catching the end of headline performances and catching the last train home, as ScotRail has warned of reduced timetables.
Despite the potential transportation challenges, fans were in high spirits as they enjoyed performances from artists like Jalen Ngonda and Picture Perfect. Excitement was palpable among attendees, with many looking forward to seeing their favorite artists over the weekend.
Even fans from outside Scotland, like the Davis family from Bristol, made the journey to enjoy the music and good weather. Declan McKenna, one of the performers, expressed his excitement about being part of the event and the positive energy from the crowd.
As the festival continues until Sunday, music lovers can follow along through BBC coverage, including highlights on BBC One and BBC Scotland, as well as live broadcasts on BBC Radio 1 and Radio Scotland. With a diverse lineup of artists scheduled to perform, TRNSMT promises to be a memorable weekend for all in attendance.
