Taylor Swift surprised fans during her Sunday night Eras Tour show in London by bringing out NFL star Travis Kelce to perform with her on stage for the first time ever. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end joined Swift in a short sketch between songs, wearing a full tuxedo, top hat, and tails to match the other male dancers on stage.
Since the release of her album “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift has added a new segment to her set where she performs a silent pantomime sketch with her dancers to transition between songs. On Sunday night, Kelce stepped in to carry Swift to the couch and played along with the dancers as she changed ensembles, urging her to perform.
Kelce has been in attendance at Swift’s London shows for the past two nights, singing and dancing along in the VIP area with other celebrities like Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Hugh Grant. Swift even gave Kelce a shoutout during her final song, changing the lyrics to reference the Chiefs player.
The excitement over Kelce’s appearance comes after Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl seemingly criticized Swift during a concert, calling his own tour the “Errors Tour” and implying that Swift doesn’t perform live. Swifties have occasionally dubbed her tour the “Errors Tour” due to onstage mishaps.
Despite the criticism, Swift continues to wow fans with her live performances, with her next tour stop scheduled for Dublin on June 28. Fans can expect three and a half hours of live music from Swift and her band at the Aviva Stadium.
