Toyota has halted more production in Japan due to a shortage of parts
Toyota Motor Co. expanded production stoppages at some factories in Japan on Friday

Toyota Motor Co. is one of the biggest car manufacturer companies, which recently expanded production stoppages at some factories in Japan on Friday due to a shortage of components sent from parts factories in Southeast Asia.
When combined with the limitations announced on Thursday, the latest halts will reduce Come output by 9,000 vehicles, impacting Lexus models and the company’s four-wheel-drive land cruiser, Toyota said in a press release.
The changes, however minor, come as Toyota attempts to make up for production lost due to previous supply chain delays in Malaysia and Vietnam, which led it to reduce vehicle manufacturing even as demand in markets such as China rose after the Coronavirus lockdowns ended.
The world’s largest manufacturer by volume said it will meet its annual production target of 9 million vehicles by the end of March, established in September.
“ we would like to maintain 9 million units, but we will keep a close eye on the situation,” the spokesperson of Toyota stated.
