The 21-year-old star revealed that she was bombarded with hurtful comments online, with many saying she was “too fat” to play the role of Kate.
In an interview with the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine, Bellamy shared her experience of coming across negative comments about her body after a long day of press interviews. Despite the hurtful remarks, the actress remained positive and resilient, stating, “You can’t listen to that sort of stuff. Not least because most of it is written by internet trolls, or men called Gary who are holding a fish in their profile picture.”
Bellamy, who hails from Berkshire, starred alongside Ed McVey as William and Luther Ford as Prince Harry in the final season of The Crown. The young actress described the role as her first major opportunity in the industry and expressed gratitude for the support she received from her co-stars, including Elizabeth Debicki who portrayed Princess Diana.
