Thanks to Google, apps for smartwatches and smart TVs are now easy to install

Google has begun rolling out the final version of Android 12 for TV and Smartwatches

Google has begun rolling out the final version of Android 12 for TV. The operating system is a few months behind the current Android OS, which is already available on support devices. The upgrade is a significant improvement over the previous version, and it includes several interesting new additions. One of the most important elements of the new operating system is the ability to install apps on televisions straight from smartphones. Users may effortlessly install apps using only the TV remote, eliminating the need to write app names on the TV. Google’s Play Store app has also been changed to make the feature more convenient.

Google Play Store now displays the filter in the top left corner of the screen whenever you search for something in the search box, according to 9to5Google. Along with the search results, you’ll notice a new green button that says ‘this device’ after you hit the search button. When you press the button, a list of devices linked to your Google account appears. You can locate them on the list if you have a Wear OS smartwatch and an Android smart TV signed with the same Google account.

You select a device for which you want to see the apps with this new feature. The default setting will only allow you to uninstall apps from your smartphone. You can see and install apps that are compatible with another device if you pick them. The function has been detected on numerous devices, according to 9to5 Google, but it is unclear when it will be available to all users.
