Pro-Life Activist Conceived in Rape to Challenge Democratic Abortion Agenda at Biden’s State of the Union
Ryan Bomberger, a pro-life activist and co-founder of The Radiance Foundation, is set to challenge the “radical abortion agenda” of the Democratic Party at President Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday. Bomberger, who was conceived in rape but adopted in love, will be Virginia Congressman Bob Good’s guest at the event.
In a statement ahead of Biden’s address, Bomberger expressed his honor at being invited and criticized the Democratic Party for their stance on abortion, particularly in cases of rape. He accused the party of denying the right of people like him to live through their abortion policies.
Bomberger, who uses his own life as an example of someone who could’ve been aborted but was instead given the gift of adoption, argued that his story contradicts the narrative that Democrats and pro-choice advocates have built around abortion and cases of rape.
“The same political Party that violently denied people of my complexion our personhood, is the same Democratic Party that violently denies people of my origin our humanity,” Bomberger said. “Planned Parenthood and their political allies don’t like my storyline, because it shatters their narratives of fear. I am proof that triumph can rise from tragedy.”
Bomberger’s presence at the State of the Union will be a counterpart to several pro-choice Democratic guests who have been harmed by Republican policies restricting abortion following the 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade. The event is expected to highlight the ongoing debate over abortion rights in the United States.
Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana will also bring a pro-life guest, Benjamin Clapper, of Louisiana Right to Life, to the State of the Union. The pro-life guests will stand in solidarity with those who support abortion rights, creating a stark contrast in viewpoints at the high-profile event.
The State of the Union address is shaping up to be a platform for the discussion of key social issues, including abortion rights, with both sides of the debate represented among the guests of lawmakers in attendance. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
