Sky Mavis, the creator of the highly successful Axie Infinity game, launched Ronin, which has processed over $4 billion in NFT transactions and is capable of handling millions of users daily for one game. On the other hand, Ragnarok, developed by South Korean gaming giant Gravity, has garnered over 167 million downloads across 122 territories, making it a transmedia intellectual property (IP) with a massive global following.

Scheduled for release in Q3 2024, Ragnarok: Monster World is the latest project from ZERO X AND, a Web3 development company and game studio known for its innovative approach to NFT gaming. With a team experienced in both Web2 and blockchain gaming titles, ZERO X AND aims to bridge the gap between traditional and blockchain gaming audiences with this new game.

The collaboration between Ronin and Ragnarok highlights Ronin’s rapid growth since its inception in 2021, with approximately 17.6 million total wallet addresses. By partnering with industry leaders like Sky Mavis, Ronin is working to create a thriving ecosystem for blockchain gaming, offering tailored distribution and fostering strong community engagement.

Seokjun Kim, Founder of ZERO X AND, expressed excitement about the collaboration, citing the success of projects like Axie Infinity in pioneering play-to-earn (P2E) gaming and NFT integration. This partnership between Ronin and Ragnarok: Monster World signals a transformative shift in the gaming industry, as more games look to integrate blockchain technology for a more immersive and rewarding gaming experience.
