Severe Storm Blankets New England and Northern New York in Heavy Snow

A powerful storm system swept through the Northeast on Saturday, bringing heavy rain and snow to the region and leaving over 300,000 households without electricity. According to PowerOutage.us, more than 194,000 customers in Maine, 71,000 in New Hampshire, and 78,000 in New York State were affected by the outages.

In New York City, the storm cleared overnight, but a flood advisory remained in effect for parts of New Jersey and the city. A flood warning was also issued for Warren County, N.J., indicating imminent or ongoing flooding.

Central Park received 3.63 inches of rain, while Corinth, N.Y., reported over 20 inches of snow. Philadelphia experienced its wettest March day on record with 3.06 inches of rain.
