Sandra Lee Opens Up About New Romance with Ben Youcef: “It’s Almost Like Having a First Love Again”
Sandra Lee, the host of “Blue Ribbon Baking Championship,” is feeling the love in her relationship with actor-producer Ben Youcef. Three years into their romance, Lee describes it as “completely different” and “almost like having a first love again.”
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Lee shared, “It’s just completely different. It’s almost like having a first love again for me. And I think for him, I am his first love. So it just it’s a completely different relationship than I think either one of us have had before.”
The couple recently celebrated Lee’s 58th birthday, with Lee expressing gratitude for Youcef in an Instagram post. She wrote, “Best birthday gift ever was Ben! Thank you for chasing me up the street and not taking NO NO NO for an answer! You were right!”
Their relationship comes after a challenging decade for Lee, marked by health issues and a public breakup with former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2019. Despite the hardships, Lee found solace in caring for her uncle, who was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Now, Lee is focusing on her new series, “The Blue Ribbon Baking Championship,” on Netflix. The show, which she co-hosts with Jason Biggs, showcases contestants competing for a $100,000 prize and a Best in Fair blue ribbon.
Lee’s relationship with Youcef has brought joy and stability to her life, with the couple enjoying simple pleasures like cooking and spending time together. While there are no wedding plans yet, Lee is content with the present moment and the love she shares with Youcef.
“The Blue Ribbon Baking Championship” is now streaming on Netflix, offering viewers a taste of Americana and the camaraderie of baking competition contestants. Lee’s journey of overcoming challenges and finding love is a testament to resilience and the power of new beginnings.
