Queen guitarist Sir Brian May recently revealed that he suffered a minor stroke, leaving him unable to use his left arm. However, the rock legend, known for hits like We Will Rock You and Who Wants to Live Forever, has since regained movement and can play guitar again.
In a video posted on his website, Sir Brian shared his experience, saying, “All of a sudden – out of the blue – I didn’t have any control over this arm. So it was a little scary, I have to say.” He praised the doctors at Frimley Hospital in Surrey for their care and mentioned that he is now following their advice to avoid activities that could raise his heart rate too high.
The news of his stroke comes just weeks after the broadcast of a BBC One documentary about his campaign to protect badgers from culling. Despite facing criticism from some quarters, Sir Brian remains passionate about his cause and continues to advocate for wildlife conservation.
This health scare is not the first for the 77-year-old musician, as he previously had a “small” heart attack four years ago. Despite these challenges, Sir Brian remains resilient and determined to keep making music and advocating for causes he believes in.
Fans and well-wishers are relieved to hear that Sir Brian is doing well and are sending him positive thoughts as he continues to recover and stay healthy.
