Scheffler himself described the round as one of the best of his career, despite the unexpected circumstances leading up to it. He faces charges including second-degree assault of a police officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic, which he attributed to a “big misunderstanding.”
