Polyhedra Network, in collaboration with Google Cloud, has announced the launch of Proof Cloud in open beta at the recent Google ZK Summit. This new service aims to meet the increasing demand for efficient, fast, and cost-effective ZK-proof solutions in the blockchain space.
At launch, Proof Cloud will be utilized by major blockchain platforms Polygon, Linea, and Lita. Eric Vreeland, Chief Strategy Officer at Polyhedra Network, emphasized the transformative potential of Proof Cloud, stating that the goal is to make zero-knowledge proofs more accessible to all developers in both web2 and web3 environments.
Central to Proof Cloud is the Proof Arena platform, a benchmarking tool designed to enhance the transparency and capabilities of ZK-proof technology. This tool allows developers to perform fair and transparent prover benchmarks, testing the performance of various prover architectures under controlled conditions.
Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon Labs, praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of tools like Proof Cloud in lowering the barrier to entry for building with ZK technology. The platform’s capabilities extend to generating benchmarks for various ZK-proof systems, including Polyhedra’s Expander, Polygon’s Plonky3, StarkWare’s Stwo, and Linea’s Gnark.
With the launch of Proof Cloud, Polyhedra Network aims to significantly impact the landscape of ZK-proof technology, making it more accessible, efficient, and transparent for developers across both web2 and web3 environments. This initiative is set to revolutionize the way developers approach ZK-proof solutions, ultimately driving innovation and progress in the blockchain space.
