Mustafaa Carroll, the executive director of the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called for law enforcement officials to investigate the incident as a hate crime. Ms. Wolf was initially charged with public intoxication but now faces charges of attempted capital murder and injury to a child.

The mother, referred to as Mrs. H, shared her harrowing experience, stating that the woman made racist remarks before trying to drown her children. Mrs. H bravely jumped into the pool to save her children, but the attacker snatched off her hijab and kicked at her.

The traumatizing incident has left the young girl in fear, as she now runs and hides whenever the apartment door is opened. The community is reeling from the shocking attack, with residents demanding justice for the victims.
