Transgender Woman Accused of Killing Parents in Utah Home Arrested After Hours-Long Manhunt

An “armed and dangerous” transgender woman, Mia Bailey, 28, sparked a massive manhunt after allegedly gunning down her parents in their Utah home. The incident led to an intense search that ended with Bailey’s arrest and charges of 11 felony counts related to the double homicide of her parents, Joseph, 70, and Gail Bailey, 69, and the attempted murder of her brother.

Bailey reportedly broke into her parents’ home and shot her father in the head and her mother multiple times before fleeing the scene. She then attempted to shoot her brother and his wife through a locked door. Fortunately, both survived the attack.

After an hours-long search, Bailey was cornered by police in a St. George neighborhood and peacefully surrendered. She was taken into custody without further incident.

Bailey, who had legally changed her name and gender in 2023, showed no remorse for her actions, telling police that she would “do it again” and expressing hatred towards her parents.

The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief and raised questions about the circumstances leading to such a tragic event. The investigation into the case is ongoing as authorities work to uncover the motives behind the violent attack.
