Pennsylvania Police on the Hunt for Suspects Stealing American Flags
The Macungie Police Department in Pennsylvania is on the lookout for three suspects caught stealing American flags from a suburban neighborhood. The department took to Facebook to share surveillance video footage of the suspects walking down a road with stolen flags in hand.
The video, which was posted on Saturday, shows the suspects walking in the street early in the morning. The post quickly garnered angry reactions from the community, with many expressing outrage over the theft.
“When they catch them they should be required to go to each home and replace the flags and apologize to the homeowners,” one person commented. “Not have Mom and Dad buy the flag either, if they do the crime they can do the time working to repair or replace what they damage.”
Another Facebook user speculated that the suspects may have stolen the flags out of hatred for America, while a third commentator simply questioned, “Seriously?! Wth is wrong with these kids??”
