Oasis fans rush to secure tickets as band cautions against reselling

The highly anticipated Oasis comeback tour has caused a frenzy among fans, with tickets for the UK and Ireland dates going on sale amidst warnings against reselling at inflated prices.

As the clock struck 09:00 BST, users trying to access Ticketmaster, See Tickets, and Gigsandtours websites reported issues even before the tickets were officially released. In Ireland, where the August 2025 gigs at Dublin’s Croke Park were up for grabs, some fans faced difficulties accessing the Ticketmaster website, with over 500,000 people ahead of them in the virtual queue.

Shortly after a limited pre-sale for fans, tickets for the UK gigs were already being listed online for exorbitant prices, reaching up to £6,000 – a stark contrast to the face value of the tickets. Oasis quickly stepped in, urging fans not to resell tickets at higher prices on unauthorized platforms, threatening cancellations for those who do not comply.

The reunion of Noel and Liam Gallagher comes 15 years after the band’s split, following a backstage brawl at a festival in Paris. The announcement of their reunion has sparked a surge in sales and streams of their back catalogue, with three albums re-entering the top five of the UK charts.

With 1.4 million tickets expected to be available for the 17 outdoor concerts next July and August, fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to see Oasis back on stage after years of anticipation.
