Heartbreak in New York as Father Finds Teen Daughters Dead in Tragic Car Crash
A heartbroken New York father, Brian Trumble, discovered the unimaginable when he found his two teenage daughters, Hailey and Shelby Trumble, dead in a car crash. The sisters, aged 19 and 17, were driving in a Chevy Cobalt on August 1 in Cayuga County when they veered into the opposing lane and collided with another vehicle.
Trumble became concerned when his daughters failed to respond to text messages after a day out with friends at a Rochester amusement park. Using a tracking app, he located them on Ferris Road in nearby Cato, where the tragic accident occurred.
The devastated father described the loss as the worst thing to ever happen to his family, with no words to explain the pain. The sisters will be cremated together, bringing some comfort in knowing they won’t be alone.
Hailey had recently graduated from high school and was about to start a job at a local daycare center, while Shelby had begun working at a farm. Described as “simple country girls at heart,” the sisters touched many lives with their kindness and intelligence.
The family is left shattered by the loss, with memories and pictures helping them cope with the tragedy. Trumble expressed the wish for more time with his daughters, emphasizing the impact they had on everyone they met.
The sisters are survived by their parents, brother, and stepsisters, leaving a void in their family that will never be filled. The community mourns the loss of two bright and beloved young women, taken too soon in a devastating accident.
