The mothers of former Miss USA and Miss Teen USA have come forward to reveal the shocking reasons behind their daughters’ sudden resignations from their prestigious titles. In an emotional interview on Good Morning America, Barbara Srivastava and Jackeline Voigt shared that the once coveted positions turned into a nightmare for their daughters.

Both pageant queens, Noelia Voigt and UmaSofia Srivastava, stepped down from their titles just one day apart from each other last week. The mothers spoke out on behalf of their daughters, who are bound by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) preventing them from sharing their experiences.

Barbara Srivastava, mother of Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava, revealed that their families “could not continue this charade” and alleged that their daughters were subjected to mistreatment, abuse, bullying, and harassment during their time as titleholders. They demanded an apology from the Miss Universe Organization, which owns Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.

Despite the serious allegations, the Miss Universe Organization has not addressed the claims of abuse and bullying. Noelia Voigt was the first to resign, citing mental health struggles and urging others to prioritize their well-being. Fans speculated on a cryptic message she shared on Instagram, hinting at feeling silenced by the organization.

Following Noelia Voigt’s resignation, UmaSofia Srivastava also stepped down from her title, citing a misalignment of personal values with the pageant organization. Her mother revealed that her daughter was mistreated and had her personal social media surveilled by the organization.

Both mothers have called for an end to participation in all Miss USA-affiliated pageants, expressing their desire to prevent others from facing the same mistreatment their daughters allegedly endured. The Miss Universe Organization has yet to respond to the allegations, leaving many questioning the true nature of the pageant industry.
