Kinsley, who has performed the national anthem at numerous sporting events, also sang “O Canada” before her performance at the Pacers game. Her father, Shafer Murray, a school teacher, shared that Kinsley has showcased her talent at various events in the past, including a Gonzaga women’s basketball game in 2021.
Despite the overwhelming support for Kinsley’s performance, there were some negative comments from social media users. However, many came to her defense, condemning the hateful remarks and praising her for her talent and patriotism.
As the video continues to circulate online, Kinsley’s performance has become a symbol of unity and pride. The Indiana Pacers, currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings, will face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
