US rock band Linkin Park has made a major announcement that has fans buzzing with excitement. The band has revealed that Emily Armstrong will be joining them as their new singer for their upcoming album and tour.

This news comes after the tragic loss of their former lead singer, Chester Bennington, who passed away in 2017. Armstrong will be joining returning members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn for the band’s new projects. In addition to sharing vocals with Shinoda, Armstrong will be joined by Colin Brittain as the group’s new drummer.

Armstrong, known for her work as the singer in alt-rock band Dead Sara, expressed her admiration for Linkin Park’s music, particularly their 2000 album Hybrid Theory. She shared, “That album was everything – I’ve listened to it a trillion times. I would skate to it. I would mosh to it.”

Linkin Park’s decision to bring in a new lead singer following the death of Bennington is not unprecedented in the music industry. Bands like Alice in Chains and Sublime have made similar moves in the past. The band’s new world tour will kick off this month, visiting cities like Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, Seoul, and London.

Fans can also look forward to new music from Linkin Park, with the release of their single “The Emptiness Machine” set to precede their upcoming album. The band recently performed the song as part of a special concert broadcast on their social platforms.

With their new line-up and exciting projects on the horizon, Linkin Park is ready to embark on this new chapter in their music career.
