South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has once again sparked controversy, this time taking aim at President Biden’s German shepherd, Commander. In a recent appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Gov. Noem suggested that Commander, who had previously been banished from the White House after multiple biting incidents involving Secret Service agents, should have been put down.

“Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people,” Gov. Noem stated during the interview. “So how many people is enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt before you make a decision on a dog?”

This latest statement comes on the heels of Gov. Noem facing backlash for killing her family’s 14-month-old dog and boasting about it. In her upcoming memoir, “No Going Back,” Gov. Noem revealed that she had also shot a female wire-haired pointer named Cricket, whom she deemed “untrainable” and “dangerous.”

Despite the criticism, Gov. Noem defended her actions, stating that she made the decision to protect people over 20 years ago. However, she also hinted at a possible reunion between Cricket and Commander in the afterlife, saying, “Commander, say hello to Cricket for me.”

The White House has not yet responded to Gov. Noem’s comments regarding Commander. The controversy surrounding her statements continues to divide opinions on the proper handling of pets with aggressive behavior.
