Former glamour model Katie Price has found herself in hot water once again, as she was arrested at Heathrow Airport for failing to attend court and taken into police custody. An arrest warrant was issued for the 46-year-old on 30 July after she failed to show up for a court hearing related to her bankruptcies.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Ms. Price was arrested at Heathrow at 19:45 BST and will appear before a judge at the Royal Courts of Justice later on Friday. Photos have emerged showing her with bandages around her face, near police vans at the airport.
This is not the first time Katie Price has faced financial troubles. She was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year due to an unpaid tax bill of over £750,000. In February, she was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the website OnlyFans for the next three years in relation to her first bankruptcy.
Despite clear warnings from the court, Ms. Price failed to attend the hearing on 30 July and reportedly traveled to Turkey instead. Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton issued the arrest warrant, stating that Ms. Price had provided no explanation for her absence and had only offered “piecemeal cooperation” in relation to her bankruptcies.
It remains to be seen what consequences Katie Price will face for her failure to attend court, but one thing is for sure – this former glamour model’s legal troubles seem far from over.
