Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce has officially retired after 13 seasons as the team’s center, leaving behind a Hall of Fame legacy in the City of Brotherly Love. Despite still having plenty left in the tank, Kelce has made it clear that there will be no comeback for him on the football field.

Throughout his career, Kelce earned numerous accolades, including his third-straight All-Pro nod and playing in every game for a ninth consecutive season. His dedication to the game was evident, even as he battled injuries and long-term health concerns, as showcased in an Amazon Prime Video feature film during the 2022 season.

Although Kelce has been a constant presence at the Eagles’ training site this offseason, he has no intentions of returning to the field. “My days of playing are just done, and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore,” he recently told The Associated Press.

Kelce, who played in 193 games in his NFL career and made 156 consecutive starts, has shifted his focus to new endeavors post-retirement. He has already signed on to be an analyst for “Monday Night Football” on ESPN and continues to work on his podcast, “New Heights,” with his brother Travis Kelce.

While fans may miss seeing Kelce on the field, they can still catch his insights on “Monday Night Football” and tune into his podcast for more of his unique perspective on the game.
