YouTuber Jake Paul to Face Former World Champion Mike Tyson in Boxing Match

In a surprising turn of events, YouTuber Jake Paul is set to face former world champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match on 20 July. The fight, which will take place in Texas, will be broadcast live on streaming platform Netflix.

While it is unclear if the match will be an official fight or an exhibition bout, fans are already buzzing with excitement over the prospect of these two fighters going head-to-head. Paul, 27, is coming off a victory against Ryan Bourland in his 10th professional fight, while Tyson, who retired in 2005, had his most recent exhibition bout in 2020.

Tyson, who became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20, is known for his blistering start to his professional career. However, his reign as unified champion came to an end in 1990 after a shocking defeat to Buster Douglas.

On the other hand, Paul has been making a name for himself in the boxing world, with nine wins in his 10 fights. His only defeat came against British heavyweight Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Speaking about the upcoming match, Paul said, “My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep.”

The fight will take place at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, with a seating capacity of 80,000. Fans can expect an intense showdown between these two fighters as they battle it out in the ring.
