American skateboarders Jagger Eaton and Nyjah Huston made their mark at the Paris Olympics, picking up silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the men’s skateboarding street final on Monday afternoon.
Both Eaton and Huston had a chance at the gold medal on their final tricks, but unfortunately, they were unable to complete them. Despite this, they were able to secure spots on the podium.
The gold medal went to Japan’s Yuto Horigome, who scored an impressive 97.08 on his final trick, securing his second consecutive Olympic gold in the event.
Eaton, who had previously won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, was able to move up on the podium this time around. He finished just below Horigome and Brazil’s Kelvin Hoeffler.
For Huston, this was his first Olympic medal. After finishing third in the semifinals, he advanced to the finals and ended up in seventh place out of eight competitors.
The Americans’ success in the skateboarding event marked the first Olympic medals of the day for Team USA. Fans can continue to follow the latest sports coverage on Fox News Digital and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
