Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Launch Strikes on Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have taken proactive measures to eliminate threats against Israel by launching strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. This action comes after the IDF detected preparations by Hezbollah to fire missiles and rockets towards Israeli territory.

According to IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, “We are removing threats against the Israeli home front. Dozens of Israeli Air Force jets are currently striking targets in various locations in southern Lebanon. We are continuing to remove threats and intensively strike against the Hezbollah terrorist organization.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who convened a meeting with cabinet members, emphasized the importance of protecting Israeli citizens and returning residents of the north safely to their homes. He stated, “Whoever harms us, we will harm them.”

Hezbollah released a statement confirming that it launched an offensive towards Israel and completed its military operation for the day. The statement also mentioned that Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, will address the situation later.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on foreign counterparts to support Israel in its efforts to defend against attacks from Hezbollah. He emphasized that Israel is acting to protect its citizens and territory against the threats posed by Iran and its allies.

The IDF has intercepted several rockets and UAVs launched towards Israeli territory, and warnings have been issued to civilians in southern Lebanon about the danger they are facing. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in conflict.

As the situation unfolds, the international community is closely monitoring the developments and hoping for a peaceful resolution to the escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
