Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have revealed the four reasons behind the targeted killing of Fuad Shukr, the Hezbollah commander responsible for a drone strike that tragically left 12 children and teens dead in northern Israel over the weekend.
Shukr, who served as a senior adviser to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, was eliminated in an IDF strike in southern Beirut. The IDF stated that Shukr was Nasrallah’s ‘right-hand man’ and had been involved in planning terrorist attacks for the past 30 years, with blood on his hands from Israeli, American, French, and other civilians.
The IDF also accused Shukr of orchestrating rocket and UAV attacks against Israelis for the past ten months, forcing thousands of civilians in northern Israel to evacuate their homes. Additionally, Shukr was identified as the planner behind the deadly Hezbollah rocket attack in the village of Majdal Shams, which resulted in the tragic deaths of 12 individuals, mostly children and teens playing soccer.
Furthermore, the IDF highlighted Shukr’s involvement in integrating and developing precision-guided missiles, which posed a significant threat to the lives of millions of Israeli civilians.
The killing of Shukr comes amidst ongoing skirmishes along the northern border with Lebanon, as tensions continue to escalate in the region. The IDF’s actions have sparked both controversy and support, with many questioning the implications of targeting such a high-ranking Hezbollah commander.
As the situation unfolds, the repercussions of Shukr’s death are yet to be seen, but one thing remains clear – the IDF is determined to protect Israeli civilians from the threats posed by Hezbollah and its operatives.
