HashKey Global, a subsidiary of HashKey Group, is set to launch futures trading alongside its current spot trading for 21 digital assets, including popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. The move comes as the company aims to expand its reach and compete with other major cryptocurrency exchanges.

According to HashKey MD, there is a unique opportunity for HashKey Global to blend the user experience and product features of exchanges like Binance with the regulatory and safety standards of platforms like Coinbase. This strategic approach could help HashKey Global attract a wider range of international users who may not be served by HashKey Hong Kong.

The new global trading platform, HashKey Global, has officially been launched and provides access to over 20 cryptocurrencies. The platform has secured a digital asset business license in Bermuda, allowing it to offer compliant trading services on a global scale. However, regulatory reasons prevent certain markets like the US, mainland China, and Hong Kong from using the platform.

Despite the relatively low trading volume of HashKey Exchange compared to larger exchanges like Binance and OKX, HashKey Group is optimistic about the potential of HashKey Global. COO Livio Weng expressed the company’s goal to surpass the trading volume of Coinbase across all HashKey Group platforms by 2029.

HashKey Global’s compliant platform and user-friendly experience give it an edge in the competitive cryptocurrency exchange market. Managing director Ben El-Baz highlighted the importance of regulatory compliance and user experience in distinguishing HashKey Global from other exchanges.

The HashKey Group, which includes businesses like HashKey Capital and an asset-management arm, is banking on Hong Kong’s support for the virtual asset industry. With operations in Singapore and Tokyo, the company aims to establish one of the world’s largest clusters of licensed exchanges within the next 5 years.

Currently, HashKey Global offers spot trading services for a variety of digital assets and plans to introduce futures trading services in the near future. The platform will not serve certain regions, including Hong Kong, China, and the US. The launch of HashKey Global marks a significant milestone for HashKey Group, which recently achieved unicorn status following a successful fundraising round.
