Belgian golfer Thomas Detry had a tough day on the course during the Cognizant Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Detry struggled on the par-4 sixth hole, taking six strokes to finish and ultimately carding an 80 for the day, missing the cut by 13 shots.

Despite the setback, Detry, who plays on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour, has had success in his career, including a victory on the Challenge Tour and the ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup of Golf with Thomas Pieters. He narrowly lost in a playoff at the 2021 Scottish Open.

The leader after the round was Bud Cauley, who shot a 6-under 65 to hold a one-stroke lead over Austin Eckroat and Garrick Higgo. By the end of Saturday’s third round, Eckroat, Shane Lowry, and David Skinns were tied at 13-under 200 for the tournament.

Despite the tough day, Detry remains a talented golfer with a promising future ahead.
