Former congressional candidate and professional wrestler, Daniel Rodimer, was accused in the death of a man at a Las Vegas Strip hotel during a Halloween party. Rodimer, dressed as “Ken” from the “Barbie” movie, allegedly got into an altercation with Christopher Tapp, resulting in Tapp’s death.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call at Resorts World on Oct. 29, where they found Tapp injured. He later died at Sunrise Hospital on Nov. 5, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Rodimer surrendered to police after an arrest warrant was issued and posted bail. Court documents revealed that Rodimer believed Tapp had offered his stepdaughter cocaine, leading to the deadly incident.
Witnesses at the party described seeing Rodimer, dressed as “angry Ken,” aggressively confronting Tapp. Text messages between Rodimer and his ex-wife further implicated him in the incident.
Rodimer, a former WWE wrestler, had also run for Congress unsuccessfully in the past. He moved to Texas and ran in a special election in 2021, but received less than 3% of the vote.
The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding Tapp’s death.
