Former Assistant Accuses Kanye West of Sexual Harassment in Lawsuit

Kanye West, now known as Ye, is facing serious allegations of sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination from a former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Pisciotta claims that West sent her lewd texts, performed sex acts while on the phone with her, and failed to pay her a $3 million severance package after firing her in 2022.

The lawsuit, first reported by TMZ and confirmed by Rolling Stone, The Wrap, and US Weekly, alleges that Pisciotta was hired by West to work on his Yeezy women’s fashion line and collaborate on tracks from his Donda album. She was later promoted to Chief of Staff for his various companies before being abruptly fired.

In addition to the allegations of sexual harassment, Pisciotta is also suing West for fraud, unpaid wages, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. This is not the first time West has faced accusations of inappropriate behavior, with previous reports of playing pornographic films during staff meetings and showing intimate photographs during job interviews.

Despite these controversies, West remains a prominent figure in the music industry, with recent chart-topping hits like Carnival and Vultures. However, his career has been marred by legal battles, including a lawsuit for racial discrimination and harassment from a former security guard at his Donda Academy and a copyright infringement case with the estate of Donna Summer.

West has yet to respond to these latest allegations, but the lawsuit has once again put a spotlight on the troubled aspects of his career, despite his past success as one of the most successful and prolific rappers of the 2000s and 2010s.
