TikToker shares disappointment over Detroit Bridgerton ball event
Bridgerton fans in Detroit were left outraged after attending an unofficial ball that promised to transport them to the enchanting world of the Regency era, only to fall short of expectations.
The event, organized by Uncle & Me LLC, was supposed to be a glamorous affair filled with ballroom dancing, music, and exquisite costumes reminiscent of the hit Netflix series. However, attendees took to social media to express their disappointment, calling the event a “scam” with cheap decor, undercooked food, and lackluster entertainment.
Despite tickets starting at around $150, guests who splurged on the “Duke and Duchess” package were left dissatisfied with the quality of the dinner, with some describing the food as “terrible” and undercooked. The entertainment also failed to impress, as attendees were promised a full orchestra but were greeted with just one violinist and a pole-dancing stripper.
One TikTok user shared her disappointment, revealing that over 60 people were leaving the event as she arrived. Another attendee lamented the wasted opportunity to be the “diamond of the season” and left early.
In an interview with a local news station, Detroit acrobat Tink, who was hired as a pole-dancer for the event, expressed her regret over the attendees’ unhappiness, stating, “My goal as a performer is to bring happiness and cheers to everyone.”
The event has drawn comparisons to other infamous failed ventures like the Fyre Festival and the Willy Wonka experience, with social media users quick to point out the similarities.
Uncle & Me LLC issued a statement apologizing for the shortcomings of the event and promising to address all concerns raised by guests. They are currently reviewing resolution options and will communicate them shortly.
Fans of Bridgerton are now calling for refunds, as they feel they were misled by the event organizers and left with a disappointing experience that did not live up to the magical evening they were promised.
