Drake withdraws from “The Grammy Nominations”

Aubrey Drake Graham is known for his stage name Drake is a Canadian singer, rapper and actor who was born on 24th October 1986. Drake has won four Grammy Awards and many top Billboard Awards.

Lately, Drake asked the recording academy to withdraw his two nominations from the Grammy list as it got confirmed by The Associated Press. His request got honoured by the academy and his name got removed from the nominee list.  As Drake was not pleased with the previous year’s Grammy,  he only got nominated for the rap category and showed displeasure with the nominations.

In his acceptance speech for ‘God’s Plan’ he talked about the importance he feels on the Grammy awards, “If there are people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain, in the snow, spending their hard-earned money to buy tickets to come to your shows, you don’t need this right here.” he said in his acceptance speech. But his speech got cut off in between before getting finished.

Drake has asked the Recording Academy to withdraw his two Grammy nominations from the ballot – and the academy has complied, according to two people familiar with the decision. The star rapper and singer has long been a critic of the awards. https://t.co/zR2tayTTG1
