The new checkpoint mechanism implemented by the Shibarium team is designed to facilitate faster withdrawal processes, particularly for the network’s native BONE tokens. Previously, withdrawals and cross-chain transactions could take up to a week to complete, causing frustration among users. With the new system in place, these transactions can now be initiated and completed within about 45 minutes, allowing users to respond quickly to market changes and capitalize on opportunities without delays.
