The West End is set to host a touching tribute to the late former Strictly Come Dancing professional Robin Windsor, who passed away in February at the age of 44. His friend and former co-star Pasha Kovalev has co-created a new show called Robin Windsor – The Final Act, which will honor Windsor’s life and legacy.
The show, scheduled to take place in November at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, will feature performances from other stars who were close to Windsor. Kovalev shared with BBC Radio Suffolk that the event will be emotional but also celebratory, as they aim to remind everyone of Windsor’s passion for life and the arts.
Windsor, who was known for his positive and helpful nature, was an ambassador for the mental health charity SANE. All profits from the evening will be donated to the charity in his honor.
The show will be hosted by Strictly judge Anton Du Beke and Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, who partnered with Windsor during the 2012 season of Strictly Come Dancing. Windsor’s love for the West End and musicals inspired the creation of this special tribute, which aims to showcase his talent and spirit.
As friends and colleagues come together to remember Windsor, they reflect on the impact he had on their lives and the joy he brought to those around him. The show will not only be a farewell to a talented dancer but also a celebration of a life well-lived in the world of dance and entertainment.
