Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, written by Tennessee Williams, delves into the complexities of a family in crisis as they come together to celebrate the patriarch’s birthday. The Pulitzer-winning play explores themes of dishonesty, desire, and the struggle for power and control.
This marks Edgar-Jones’s first significant stage role since her breakout in Normal People, where she captivated audiences with her performance. The actress has also recently appeared in the production of Red Rabbit White Rabbit at Soho Place, showcasing her versatility on stage.
The Almeida theatre has also announced other exciting productions for their upcoming season, including A Moon for the Misbegotten starring Ruth Wilson and Michael Shannon, and Otherland, a new play by Chris Bush.
