Coldplay Breaks Record with 10-Night Residency at Wembley Stadium

In an unprecedented move, Coldplay has announced a 10-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium next summer, breaking the record previously held by Taylor Swift and Take That. The band originally planned to play six nights at the iconic venue but added four extra shows due to overwhelming demand during a fan-only presale.

Tickets for the general sale will start at £20 (plus fees) and will go on sale on Friday, 27 September. Unlike other artists who use dynamic pricing models, Coldplay has decided to keep all ticket prices fixed for these concerts.

The 2025 tour dates are in support of the band’s upcoming 10th album, Moon Music, set to be released on 4 October. In addition to the Wembley shows, Coldplay will also perform two nights at Hull’s Craven Park Stadium, with 50% of the tickets reserved for local fans in specific postcodes.

This European tour will be the band’s only dates in 2025, following their headline performance at the Glastonbury festival earlier this year. The show received rave reviews and featured special guests like Michael J Fox, Little Simz, Femi Kuti, and Elyanna.

Frontman Chris Martin hinted that the upcoming album could be their last, but later clarified that the band still has two more records left in them. Coldplay has a history of headlining Glastonbury five times and has made efforts to reduce their environmental impact by achieving a 59% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions compared to their previous tour.

To combat rising ticket prices, the band is offering £20 “Infinity tickets” for every show, allowing fans to purchase a pair of tickets at an affordable price. With their commitment to sustainability and engaging live performances, Coldplay continues to set new standards in the music industry.
