In Michigan, a toddler lost their life when a tornado tore through the city of Livonia, causing a large tree to crash through a family home. The child’s mother is currently in critical condition, highlighting the devastating impact of the storm on unsuspecting residents.

Meanwhile, in the Washington, D.C. suburbs, several people were injured as a result of the powerful storms. Montgomery County in Maryland saw one person hospitalized with traumatic injuries and four others with non-life threatening injuries after a tree fell on their house. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the area, urging residents to seek shelter in what was deemed a “particularly dangerous situation.”

Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed that multiple tornadoes likely touched down in the region, causing significant damage to residential areas. Downed trees and power lines littered the streets, with reports of additional damage in nearby communities.

As the storms threatened Baltimore with floods, residents braced for the worst as multiple tornado warnings were issued for the area. Social media footage captured the ominous sight of a funnel cloud descending towards the ground, underscoring the urgency of the situation.
