Former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson Throws Support Behind Donald Trump, Calls Him the Leader the World Needs
In a bold move, former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson penned an op-ed for the Daily Mail on Friday, throwing his support behind former U.S. President Donald Trump. Johnson argued that Trump is the leader the world needs at this critical juncture, stating that “the world is at a crossroads.”
“I believe that indomitable spirit is exactly what the world needs right now, and exactly what is needed in the White House,” Johnson wrote, referencing a recent conversation he had with Trump.
Johnson highlighted various global conflicts, including those in Ukraine, the Middle East, Europe, and Taiwan, and expressed his confidence in Trump’s ability to address these issues effectively.
“I believe that Trump understands the reality: that a defeat for Ukraine would be a massive defeat for America,” Johnson wrote.
The former prime minister emphasized the importance of strength in international relations and suggested that Trump has the mettle to navigate complex geopolitical challenges.
“If and when he is back in power, later this year, Trump has a massive chance — not just to fix his predecessor’s legacy, but to take the world forward,” Johnson said.
Johnson’s endorsement comes in the wake of an assassination attempt against Trump, where the former president narrowly escaped harm. The incident, which took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, resulted in the death of one rally attendee and critical injuries to two others. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by Secret Service agents.
Johnson’s public support for Trump has sparked debate and speculation about the former president’s potential return to power and his approach to foreign policy. As the world watches closely, the alliance between Johnson and Trump could have far-reaching implications on global affairs.
