Blade, the helicopter charter company known for providing luxurious transportation between New York City and the Hamptons, is shaking up the travel game with its latest offering – the Hamptons Streamliner. This new service, set to launch in May, will provide passengers with a lavish bus experience as they make their way to eastern Long Island.

Starting at $195 a ticket, the Hamptons Streamliner promises a comfortable and upscale journey for commuters. With seats that can recline up to 45 degrees, free refreshments like espresso martinis, PopUp Bagels, and Sweetgreen salads, and amenities such as a call button for on-demand service, passengers are in for a treat.

The 19-passenger coaches, operated in partnership with the high-end coach service The Jet, will offer a premium travel experience akin to private aviation. The buses will make stops in Southampton, Bridgehampton, and East Hampton via the Long Island Expressway, providing a convenient and luxurious option for travelers.

Roisin Branch, Blade’s chief marketing officer, emphasized that the Hamptons Streamliner fills a gap in the market between more affordable bus services and pricier modes of transportation like helicopters. With the onboard perks and premium service, passengers can enjoy a stress-free journey despite potential traffic delays.

The buses will pick up passengers at Hudson Yards in Manhattan, catering to the upscale community in the area. The express service aims to provide a seamless and premium travel experience for those heading to the Hamptons for the weekend.

While some commuters, like real estate broker Bianca D’Alessio, see the appeal of a more luxurious bus experience, others, like recent graduate Chloe Hechter, prefer a more budget-friendly option. Ultimately, the Hamptons Streamliner offers a new and exciting way for travelers to reach their destination in style and comfort.
