Former President Donald Trump’s criminal conviction has sparked a surge in high-dollar donations to his campaign, with an estimated $150 million expected to be raised in the coming days. According to a report by Charlie Gasparino, a senior correspondent for FOX Business Network and Fox News Channel, a group of GOP billionaires and multimillionaires have pledged their support to Trump following his conviction for falsifying business records.

Gasparino revealed that during a two-hour meeting, attendees emphasized the importance of Trump winning in light of the current direction of the country under President Biden. Many of them pledged a staggering $30 million to Trump’s campaign on Thursday evening alone. The Trump campaign anticipates that a total of $150 million will be raised in the near future.

Following a 24-hour fundraising event, Trump’s son, Eric Trump, announced that $52.8 million had been raised in just one day, surpassing the largest fundraising haul in history during the 2016 campaign. Trump’s team wasted no time in sending out a fundraising appeal to supporters minutes after the verdict was read, portraying the former president as a “political prisoner.”

In response to Trump’s conviction, Biden’s re-election campaign also sent out fundraising appeals, emphasizing the importance of keeping Trump out of the Oval Office. Both campaigns are gearing up for what is expected to be a highly contested election in 2024.

As the fundraising efforts continue to gain momentum, the political landscape is heating up with both Trump and Biden rallying their bases. Stay tuned for more updates from the 2024 campaign trail as the race for the presidency intensifies.
