Fayetteville Man Arrested in Louisiana After Allegedly Killing, Burning, and Burying Wife
A shocking and tragic incident unfolded in Fayetteville, Georgia, as authorities arrested Kenneth Hardin Junior in Louisiana on Thursday for allegedly killing his wife, burning her body, and burying her under yard debris.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, a domestic dispute between Hardin and his wife took a deadly turn in the early morning hours on Tuesday at their residence on Merlin Court. The next morning, Hardin reportedly confessed to family members about the gruesome act before attempting to flee town.
Hardin’s father contacted authorities, leading to the discovery of evidence consistent with the reported incident. Detectives were able to track Hardin to Covington, Louisiana, where he was apprehended by SWAT members at a motel and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Facility as a fugitive pending extradition back to Georgia.
Meanwhile, investigators at Hardin’s residence found a shallow grave in a wooded area behind the house, where the burned remains of his wife, Carrie Hardin, were discovered buried under yard debris.
