Aragon Launches New App for Easy DAO Creation
This year, Aragon has introduced a new app that simplifies the process of launching and participating in a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). The user-friendly app, which requires no coding, has already seen over 2,000 DAOs created since its launch in March. Now, Aragon is looking to enhance the app further by adding more governance models, on-chain actions, and ecosystem integrations.
To gather feedback from the community, Aragon is inviting users to propose their favorite features or integrations to improve the functionality of DAOs running on-chain. The winning submissions will share a pool of 1,000 USDC, while all voting wallets will split another pool of 1,000 USDC.
With a full Jira board of ideas, Aragon is seeking input from users on what they would like to see prioritized for development. The prompt is simple: propose a feature or integration that would help DAOs run more smoothly on-chain. Submissions should include a brief description of the proposed feature, why it is needed for DAOs, relevant Github repos, and the submitter’s Twitter handle.
The timeline for submissions is as follows:
– September 12, 2pm UTC: Submissions open
– September 19, 2pm UTC: Submissions close and voting begins
– September 26, 2pm UTC: Voting closes and winners are announced
Anyone with a wallet can submit their ideas, while only wallets that have participated in proposals on the Aragon App before September 11 can vote.
For inspiration, Aragon suggests ideas such as integrating favorite DAO tools, adding new EVM chains, proposing governance mechanisms, or suggesting UX improvements for the app. Users can also join the conversation in the Aragon Discord channel dedicated to the “jokerace” event.
To participate, users will need to connect to Base, the blockchain network used by Aragon, through Metamask. Submissions must be made before 2pm UTC on September 19 for a chance to win and have their feature implemented by the Aragon team.
