The upcoming Oasis reunion tour announcement has sparked a debate among fans, with some long-time supporters expressing frustration over newer fans getting tickets. Noel Gallagher’s daughter, Anais Gallagher, has spoken out against what she calls “ageism and misogyny” from fans who believe they deserve tickets more than young women who have recently discovered the band.
Anais took to TikTok to address the issue, stating, “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets. Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there, I will have my friendship bracelets ready.”
The debate was ignited by a video posted by a user named Josie, who pointed out that some fans were upset about newer fans jumping on the Oasis bandwagon. However, others argued that it’s impossible to be born in Britain and not know Oasis, regardless of age.
With the announcement of the Britpop giants’ first tour in 15 years, demand for tickets is expected to be high. The tour will include 17 major outdoor shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, and Edinburgh next summer, with the possibility of more dates being added.
Tickets for the reunion tour will go on general sale at 09:00 BST on Saturday, giving fans a chance to see the Gallagher brothers perform together once again. It seems that the excitement surrounding the tour is bringing both old and new fans together, despite the ongoing debate over ticket distribution.
