American troops rescue paralyzed puppy in the Middle East: ‘We are their only hope’

An injured puppy named Tiny Tammy has found her heroes in U.S. soldiers deployed in the Middle East. The soldiers discovered Tammy lying in a pile of trash, unable to move her back legs. Despite their inability to bring her onto their base, the soldiers have been caring for her by building a makeshift shelter and providing food and water.

Moved to tears by Tammy’s condition, U.S. Army Sgt. Jack reached out to the New York-based nonprofit Paws of War for help. Sgt. Jack shared, “She can’t wag her little tail, but you can see the happiness in her when she sees us. It’s not only amazing she survived this long, but that she still desperately wants to trust in people.”

Tammy’s rescue mission through the War-Torn Pups and Cats program is now underway, with Paws of War raising funds to provide her with the medical care she urgently needs. Co-founder Robert Misseri emphasized the challenges of overseas rescues in dangerous conditions but expressed the organization’s commitment to saving lives.

Donations for Tammy’s rescue and others can be made at pawsofwar.org. To read more heartwarming stories like Tammy’s, visit www.foxnews.com/lifestyle.
